Fox Rothschild

The Firm: Fox Rothschild, an Am Law 100 firm with more than 650 attorneys in 21 offices coast-to-coast.

The Challenge: The firm was growing rapidly, and unfortunately its existing website’s technology couldn’t keep pace. The firm desperately needed a more powerful technology platform that would allow its marketing team to efficiently manage and customize its website.

The Project: The primary goal of the project was to replace the existing website’s backend with Great Jakes’ Rainmaker CMS—the most advanced law firm web-marketing functionality available. As part of the project, Great Jakes also made some modest improvements to the website’s basic look and feel, including the widening of all pages.

Massive Data Migration

The development of the website required a massive data migration effort by Great Jakes’ programmers, supported by Fox Rothschild’s internal resources. More than 10,000 records were moved from the firm’s existing CMS to the Great Jakes Rainmaker CMS. Great Jakes worked closely with the Fox Rothschild team, and extensive data fidelity testing confirmed that the migration was successful.

Attorney Microsites

The newly launched Fox Rothschild website features Attorney Microsites—a unique approach to attorney bios, that Great Jakes pioneered. Attorney microsites are, essentially, small websites for each attorney that fit within the firm’s larger website. Examples of how some of the firm’s attorneys are using the attorney microsite functionality include Aaron Weems and Robert Epstein. Additionally, our microsite technology was deployed for Practice Areas, including Emerging Companies and Entertainment.

Wider, More Impactful Pages

One of the key enhancements made to the look of the website was to widen the page to maximize the impact of the website on today’s larger, higher-resolution monitors. As part of this page-widening project, other design tweaks were made to the site, including (a) a redesign of the homepage and several other key pages, (b) the selection of new typefaces, and (c) the adoption of a new portrait photo style.

Responsive Design Mobile Technology

The new Fox Rothschild website utilizes “responsive design,” the new standard for mobile websites. With responsive design, the layout of each page of the website automatically adapts to fit any screen size. This means a smooth user experience, whether someone's using a smartphone, tablet—or even a large desktop monitor.
