Kegler Brown is an Ohio-based law firm with a reputation for exceptional client service and a thriving, positive culture. The firm needed a redesigned website that highlighted its collaborative team and brought to life its new tagline, “We’re on it.”

To reflect the firm’s culture and can-do attitude, Great Jakes designed a cutting-edge Homepage animation featuring engaging portraits of the firm’s people, accompanied by its tagline.

Visual Brand Design

The Kegler Brown website showcases a sophisticated brand look that was designed by Great Jakes. The brand look includes the logo, color scheme, and photography.

Brand Messaging Development

Great Jakes recommended that the firm embrace “We’re on it.” as its new tagline, as the phrase was widely used internally as an expression of the firm’s business culture.

To help ground the firm’s new tagline with real world examples, Great Jakes helped Kegler Brown develop a series of “kickers” (e.g., “Protecting your brand,” “Negotiating your deal”) to accompany the tagline on the Homepage.

ADA Compliance

The website was designed and built to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For example, the website has been optimized for screen-readers (used by blind people) and is fully navigable via keyboard (for people with motor disabilities).

Continuous Scroll Bios and Service Microsites

The firm’s bios were built with the latest iteration of Great Jakes’s signature “attorney microsite” technology. The new, “continuous scroll” microsite format allows the user to view the entire bio by scrolling, as opposed to clicking various tabs. This modern user experience is designed to increase discoverability and user engagement. The microsite technology was also deployed for the firm’s Services.

Dynamic Content Teasing

The website is built with “dynamic content teasing,” an award-winning feature that helps keep visitors engaged by suggesting relevant content. Teasers use a proprietary algorithm to suggest related content.

Casual Portraits

To help communicate the firm’s positive culture and create an emotional connection with potential clients, light-hearted casual portraits of the firm’s people were shot for use in the Homepage marquee. These photos were shot by Michael Meyer with creative direction by Great Jakes.
