Robinson+Cole
An AmLaw 200 firm with a global reach and a long history of client success.
Founded more than 175 years ago, Robinson+Cole has grown to become an AmLaw 200 firm with a national reputation and international reach. The firm endeavored to build a new website that reflected its elite status in the marketplace and illustrated its long history of success. Furthermore, the firm aimed to convey its dynamic and collegial culture and unwavering dedication to fostering inclusivity in the workplace.
To make a strong first impression and show off the firm’s vibrant culture, Great Jakes worked closely with Robinson+Cole to create an engaging videographic for the Homepage.
Before & After
Continuous Scroll Service, Industry, and Person Microsites
The firm’s bios were built with the latest iteration of Great Jakes’s signature “attorney microsite” technology. The new, “continuous scroll” microsite format allows the user to view the entire bio by scrolling, as opposed to clicking various tabs. This modern user experience is designed to increase discoverability and user engagement.
Built with React
The Robinson+Cole website was built using React, a cutting-edge website technology that is fast becoming the standard for dynamic websites. React allows for lightning-fast page load, elegant page transitions, and improved security (among other things).
Dynamic Content Teasing
The website is built with “dynamic content teasing,” an award-winning feature that helps keep visitors engaged by suggesting relevant content. Teasers use a proprietary algorithm to suggest related content.
ADA Compliance
The website was designed and built to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For example, the website has been optimized for screen-readers (used by blind people) and is fully navigable via keyboard (for people with motor disabilities).
Portrait Photos
To achieve a more modern look and feel, new portrait photos were shot for all bios on the site. The large, engaging photos are designed to create an emotional connection with website visitors. The portrait photos were shot by Shana Sureck with creative direction by Great Jakes.
