Wilson Elser
With over 1,000 attorneys located across the United States, Wilson Elser is the nation's preeminent defense litigation firm.
As a defense litigation firm with over 1,000 lawyers, 40+ offices coast-to-coast, and a reputation for exceptional legal work, Wilson Elser needed a website that effectively positions itself as a market leader. To help achieve this goal, the firm adopted a bold tagline: The Preeminent Defense Litigation Firm, which appears on the homepage alongside a striking videographic.
To convey the dynamism of the firm—and to make a strong first impression—Great Jakes produced an engaging videographic for the Wilson Elser homepage. The videographic features a series of clips showing lots of movement, including time-lapse and fly-over shots. Clips were carefully chosen to reflect the breadth of work that the firm handles and the industries it serves.
Before & After
Service Area and Attorney Microsites
Attorney microsites essentially are small websites for each service and attorney that fit within the firm’s larger website. Microsites maximize engagement by allowing visitors to read the full text of an attorney’s reputation-enhancing content (e.g., articles, blog posts, and case studies) from within the service area page, or their bio, instead of redirecting them to other sections of the site. Additionally, each microsite can be customized to address specific business development needs and contain any number of pages or type of content. For great examples of how the firm is using the microsite functionality, see Michael Lowry's bio and the Product Liability page.
ADA Compliance
Wilson Elser’s website was designed and built to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For example, the website has been optimized for screen-readers (used by blind people), is fully navigable via keyboard (for people with motor disabilities), and features a high-contrast mode to achieve contrast color compliance (for sighted people with impaired vision).
Content Teasing
The website is built with “dynamic content teasing,” an award-winning feature that helps keep visitors engaged by suggesting relevant content. Teasers can be manually curated or set to “automatic mode,” which uses a proprietary algorithm to suggest related content.
